Customising Surfly Emails: Personalise and Rebrand
While default emails from Surfly are not customisable, you can disable them and leverage our webhooks to send your own branded emails.
This enables you to craft compelling email content that reflects your organization's tone and voice, and use your own mail servers to send these invitations.
Below, we explore how to personalise and rebrand session invites to align with your organisation's identity.
Leveraging Webhooks: To begin personalizing session invites, configure a webhook for the
session.invitation
event. Access your Surfly Settings >> Integration page and Add webhook. This setup allows you to receive notifications when a session invitation is triggered. You can then utilize your own mail servers to send fully customized emails, incorporating relevant information from the webhook, such as thefollower_link
.Disabling Default Surfly Emails: By default, invite to the sessions are sent from support@surfly.com. Once you have configured the webhook and triggered your own emails, it's essential to disable the default invites. In your Surfly Settings >> Options >> Session Functionality toggle the
default_invitations_enabled
option tofalse
.
In a similar manner, you can also rebrand other Surfly emails, such as new account invites, password reset notifications, and usage history emails. For each of these events, set up a webhook and configure it accordingly. Once the webhooks are in place, you can disable all Surfly emails by adjusting the default_invitations_enabled
under Settings >> Options >> Company Settings.
Customising Session Links: Surfly's default session links are in the format surfly.com/xyz123. If you wish to customise them to your own domain, such as https://YourDomain.com/xyz123, you need to run Surfly from your own domain.
