Server Performance Benchmarking
While server configuration is an essential component of performance metrics, the content being browsed through the Surfly server and the origin server's metrics can also play a significant role.
For instance, a Surfly instance may be able to serve 1000 concurrent sessions for one website, but only 500 for another, even if their performance is comparable. This variation can be attributed to differences in the nature of the content and the metrics of the origin server.
To ensure optimal performance, businesses must benchmark their servers and consider the specific characteristics of the content being co-browsed. Our recommended minimum server requirements can handle over 100 concurrent sessions for most customers, but benchmarking can provide a better understanding of the server's actual capabilities and help identify areas for improvement.
