A potential use case for your advisors or professional services could be the Landing page.
Landing page is a web page that acts as an entry point to a Surfly session.

This flow is inbound, meaning that the Agent will be joining as a follower. This is a great flow if you want to plan a co-browsing session with someone in the future. Landing pages are also perfect in the case of an “upgrade” to a co-browsing session from a text chat conversation or a phone call.

There are two types of landing pages:

  • the one where the session starts as soon as your customer goes to a link

  • the one where the user is first in a lobby-like environment

Basic landing page

If you want a Surfly session to start as soon as your customer opens the link, this is what you need to do.

  1. Add a Surfly widget to your website.

  2. Create your own Surfly link by adding #surflystart to the end of your URL, like this: http://example.com/#surflystart.

You can then send the above URL to your customers, for example, by email or in a calendar invite. When your customer opens the link, they are redirected to your website and a Surfly session will immediately start.

The four-number session ID will be displayed to them, and like with the support use case, the advisor can use this number to identify the correct incoming queue request on Surfly Dashboard.

Landing page with a lobby

In case you want to your customer to first land on a lobby-like page with a nice welcome note and your company branding, you have two options:

  • create the page on your website that you can fully customize

  • use a standard, ready-made landing page with a customizable look (enterprise plan only)

Fully customized

With your own customized landing page, you could create a pleasant lobby environment. The advantage of this approach is that you can completely rebrand this flow and give it your own URL.

When your customer opens the landing page URL, they see your branded page with the session code. Your agent can join the session from their Queue.

Here, you'll find an example on how to implement this.

But you can even go as far as creating an Agent’s landing page where they just have to type in the session ID and then automatically join the session. This is a more advanced flow that requires an integration through our REST API.

Standard landing page

With our standard landing pages you can also create a branded look: they use a template with customizable elements.

Note, that with a standard landing page you have limited customization options, however, the advantage is that you do not have to envolve your IT team to implement anything.
